Este libro está dirigido a los estudiantes de inglés intermedios. Hay muchas cosas que le hacen un excelente hablante de inglés, pero una de las cosas principales es ser capaz de hablar con facilidad de un montón de temas diferentes. Muchos de los estudiantes de nivel intermedio pueden hablar muy bien sobre algunos temas, pero quedan completamente perdidos cuando alguien habla de un sujeto inédito. Uno) Este libro cubre 12 temas muy habituales. El vocabulario utilizado es "especializado", pero también está en el uso cotidiano.

Dos) Si sólo consigue hablar de algunos temas limitados, no se convertirá en un hablante fluente. Este libro le ayudara alcanzar más allá de estos límites.

Tres) Este libro contiene 235 frases y palabras nuevas introducidas en un contexto (historias o artículos cortos) lo que hace que el aprendizaje sea divertido y la comprensión de sus uso, realmente fácil.

Cuatro) Cada palabra o frase nueva se explica en lenguaje inglés muy sencillo. Esto le ayudará a acostumbrarse a pensar en inglés en lugar de traducir todo el tiempo desde su propio idioma.

Cinco) Hay frases para ejemplificar cada palabra o frase nueva. Esto le ayudará a dominar tanto el significado como la función de la palabra.

Part One I don’t know about you but it takes a lot for me to fall for someone. But with him, I would have to say that it was love at first sight. Thinking back I would probably just call it lust rather than love, but that’s how I felt at the time.

From the moment I laid eyes on him I fancied him. We both attended the same university and while we didn’t have any of the same classes I’d always see him in the library sitting on his own studying. He never seemed to notice me but I knew immediately that I wanted to go out with him.

Vocabulary and Phrases:

To fall for (someone): To start to love someone. To fall in love with someone. To become romantically interested in someone.

Ex ample: Although he wasn t very handsome, because of his personality, I fell for him immediately.

Love at fir st sight: When you fall in love with someone the first time you see them.

Ex ample: It was love at first sight for me and my wife.

Lust/to lust after someone: To desire someone. To have sex ual feelings toward someone. This is more of a physical than emotional feeling.

Ex ample: I think that a lot of people mistake lust for love.

To fancy someone: To be interested in someone romantically.

Ex ample: I didn t really fancy her at first but once I got to know her I fell for her pretty quickly.

To go out with (UK)/ To date (US): To be boyfriend and girlfriend. To be in a romantic relationship with someone.

Ex ample: We went out with each other for a few years but then ended it when he went off to work abroad.
